Christmas Tree Project

Each year MCDF is grateful to the many generous people who are part of making the Village festive for the holiday season.  Small trees are planted in the community planters and decorated.  As with the Spring Flowers, it takes a team to make this possible. Nolan Champer and Tara King are the 2023 project Co-Chairpersons. Joanne Cinson is donating a large community tree this year, which will be on Porter Street across from the Post Office. She is giving it in memory of her late husband Bob Cinson. From the beginning of the tree project, she and Bob sponsored trees, which they took at the end of the season and planted in their tree farm--the donated large tree is one of those trees, now grown and returning to downtown Malvern! Joanne says "Bob had a great love for this town so I know he would be proud to have donated this tree in his memory." 

As in previous years, donors can decorate their own trees to personalize them, or volunteers will decorate them.  Donors can also take their trees in March of 2024. We are adding sponsors' names on this page as we receive them.
